The PRIOWS project has a general goal to develop new knowledge and applications for the Semantic Web and for Ontological Engineering. This three-year project is a collaborative research between Hydro-Québec, the LICEF (TÉLUQ-UQÀM) research center and the CDS company. It will expand the innovative visual modeling tools and the TELOS platform prototype to create knowledge management and training applications. These tools have been developed withing the LORNET research network, directed by the LICEF center from 2003 to 2008. The GIT project (component A) has started on July 1st, 2008 thanks to an important innovation contract from Hydro-Québec to LICEF. The four other research components have started on Januaray 1st 2009, supported by a large NSERC grant.
